Once again here I am in the woods with nothing but the rain, a good rifle, and my thoughts for company.

As I sit here thinking about how dreary life can be when even the slightest thing goes wrong, the slight drizzle I'm sitting in turns into a downpour. As I have nothing for shelter other than a tree with no leaves I zip up and pull my hat down.

I'm in this one for the long haul.

I can't help but to think to myself "Why do I do this? This is not worth my time to just sit here and get soaked!" Then, just over the western horizon there comes a faint orange glow. This glow grows into a bright orange ball. As the rain proceeds to get heavier and heavier the light fans out and gets brighter. This light is so bright that it is reflecting off of raindrops and it looks like the clouds are dropping fire instead of water.

This light has gone to show me that nothing, whether in your mind or in tangible form, is able to drown out the beauty of everything around you that God has created, just for you!

Sometime you get down and out because you and your significant other have split. Yes it is not fun, but you can always rely on that bright orange light to come to you just over the western horizon at the exact time you need it. So whenever there is a downpour in your life just as there has been for me these past few minutes in this tree stand, there will also be a bright orange glow that spreads before you and shows you that not all is lost.

So be ready because it may be a rough ride now, but everything works out in the end.
