A Hope man was arrested Tuesday night after a rollover accident on North Marr Road.
On May 2 at about 6:25 p.m., Bartholomew County Sheriff's Deputy Adam Warner was dispatched to the 11000 block of North Marr Road on a report of a possible intoxicated driver in a silver Chevrolet S10 pickup. While en route, dispatchers reported a single-vehicle traffic accident with injuries on North Marr Road.
Upon arriving, the deputy saw a silver Chevrolet S10 lying on its side.
According to sheriff's department reports, it appeared the vehicle attempted to navigate a curve at a high rate of speed, left the roadway, struck a fence and rolled over before coming to rest.
The driver, identified as Ryan Tayler Meahl, 20, 11555 E. County Road 885N, of Hope, was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital where he was treated and released prior to being transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of:
Operating While Intoxicated,Causing Endangerment
Meahl has since been released from the jail.
No one else was injured in the accident.
All persons are considered innocent until/unless proven guilty in a court of law.
