"What was the best thing about growing up in Hope?"
Sunday afternoon, June 11th, at 1:30 p.m., the Yellow Trail Museum will host a discussion group about that question.
We would like to record stories from various people who grew up in the Hope area as we prepare to share with others another side of our community. This program called "Childhood Memories/Growing Up in Hope" is a relaxed afternoon that is open to anyone who would like to share stories or just listen to others.
We will have a recorder set up, but you do not have to speak into it unless you wish. This discussion will last about 45 minutes and will be followed with refreshments for all who attend.
We would also encourage visitors to tour the museum at that time. This could be a good time to share stories with other family members, too, so ask family, friends, and strangers to attend this fun afternoon as we find out the different ways people see their childhood years in our community.
Even if you did not grow up in Hope, you are welcome and may find that growing up in your community was very similar. We hope to have people of all generations so we can see the differences as the years have gone by.
