The Farmer's Market of Hope is looking for more vendors to take part in the monthly festival. The second market of the season is set for Friday, July 7th.
Michele Clark, deputy in the clerk-treasurer's office, says that the town would like to find more vendors to take part. Especially those selling fresh fruits and vegetables. She said the major farms have yet to harvest large amounts of goods that could be sold, but even home gardeners with extra produce to sell are encouraged to attend.
No permits are required to sell produce and there are no fees charged for booth space for vendors.
Student volunteers from FFA will also be on hand to help vendors set up and tear down their booths for the market.
The Farmer's Market of Hope takes place from 5 to 8 p.m., on the first Friday of every month, through October on the Hope Town Square. The July 7th event will feature a Touch-a-Truck display by local firefighters, and a performance by Sons of I Am, a local Christian rock group.
The deadline to sign up to be a vendor is Wednesday July 5th. Signups will be available on Friday during the Old-Fashioned Independence Day event on the Hope Town Square.
