A CPD officer was injured during a scuffle with an intoxicated person at a Columbus restaurant on Saturday afternoon.
At 12:45 p.m. Columbus police officers responded to Chuck E Cheese, located at 1455 North National Road, in regards to an unresponsive man seated at a booth and a small child who was unsupervised inside the business. When officers arrived, they located Zacheriah A. Tillison, a 33 year old Hope resident, passed out inside the restaurant. Officers attempted to administer Narcan to Tillison, however, he became combative and began struggling with officers. During the scuffle, one of the officers involved sustained a knee injury. Tillison was taken into custody and after being medically cleared for incarceration, he was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail and remanded with a 48 hour hold on the following preliminary charges:

The four year child who was with Tillison was later released to her mother.
