The Yellow Trail Museum is looking forward to busy weeks ahead with many events you are invited to attend.
Night at the Museum
Most of you have seen the movie "Night at the Museum" in which strange things happen at the museum at night. This year see what happens at the Yellow Trail Museum after dark as you visit for a guided tour on Saturday, Oct. 28th. These free tours begin at 5:30 p.m., and will run about every 10 minutes through 7:30 p.m. While there, you will meet some strange characters in very funny Halloween situations. This is not a haunted house, but a time to laugh about some weird things. Don't miss the fun!
This will take place during all the other fun events in the Hope Town Square during Goodies, Goblins, and Ghost Stories.
Trick or Treat at the Yellow Trail Museum
On Trick or Treat Night, Oct. 31st, save time to visit the Yellow Trail Museum where you can make crafts, play some simple games, and everyone gets a free ice cream float. The museum opens slightly before regular trick-or-treat hours, opening at 5:30 p.m. and events run until 8 p.m. Don't miss us!
Christmas of Yesteryear
Put Nov. 17th on your calendar so you won't miss Christmas of Yesteryear. Shops will stay open late, there will be a Live Nativity in the square , visits with Santa at Dr. Sweet's Office, Carriage Rides into Hope's past starting at Norman's Log Cabin, strolling carolers, and a huge bake sale at the Yellow Trail Museum along with the annual cookie decorating. It is the perfect evening in Hope. Fun begins by 5:30 p.m. and the evening will end with Christmas Fireworks at 8:45 p.m. Don't miss it!
Christmas Homes Tour
For many years, the Yellow Trail Museum has hosted the annual Christmas Homes Tour, the first Friday night of December. Plans are to repeat the tour of five beautifully decorated homes and a business on Dec. 1st, from 6 to 9 p.m. Right now due to a couple of cancellations, the museum is looking for home owners who would volunteer to be on the tour because they love to decorate for Christmas and would like to show off their homes. If you are interested in joining this fun by opening your home to as many at 250 visitors, please call the museum at 812-546-8020, or if no answer, call 812-371-7969.
