On March 22, at about 8 p.m., Bartholomew County Sheriff's Deputy Corey Lehman was dispatched to a crash at the intersection of North Marr Road/East County Road 550N.
On arrival, Deputy Lehman found Hayden Zapfe, 19, 5120 E. County Road 800N, sitting behind the wheel of a Ford F150 pickup truck.
The investigation indicated that Zapfe was driving southbound on North Marr Road when he ran off the roadway, and collided with four other vehicles - all of which were parked at a business located near the intersection.
Zapfe was found to be in possession of marijuana and displayed signs of impairment. He was also operating a motor vehicle without a driver's license.
Zapfe was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of:
Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated and
Possession of Marijuana
He has since been released on bond.
All persons are considered innocent unless/until proven guilty in a court of law.
