The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will present her sermon, "Generations of Love:Blessing," at the 9 a.m. worship service Sunday morning, Sept. 29th at the Petersville United Methodist Church.

Scripture from John 1:16 will be shared by liturgist Deb Loper. The emphasis will center on blessing one another so we can answer "YES" to the question, "Have I helped them to be fully alive?"

The choir will have special music, under the direction of Kathy Bush, and Teresa Covert will give the children's sermon. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

The Monday night Bible study classes meet at 6:30 p.m. Baker's Dozen meets at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting, and Journey meets at the home of Chris Kimerling. On Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m., the Sit and Stitch group will meet at the Nolting home. Choir practice is held at the church Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. Prayer Time, led by Barb Hedrick, will meet on Thursday at 10 a.m.

The Administrative Council will meet Wednesday Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.

"Movie Night" will be held at the church Friday Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. Persons will be invited to prepare SMORES around a bonfire, ingredients provided, prior to the showing of the movie. Popcorn and lemonade will be served during the movie. The Community is invited and attendees should bring lawn chairs.
