At the 9 a.m. worship service on Palm Sunday, the Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will deliver the message, "Give It a Rest."

Scriptures from Exodus 20:8 and Mark 2:21-28 will be shared by the liturgist with focus on the question, "What, and who, suffers when we value economic security over well-being?" The choir, directed by Kathy Bush and accompanied by Chris Kimerling, will provide special music, and Teresa Covert will give the children's sermon. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

A Maundy Thursday service will be held on April 18 at 7 p.m. at the church. The congregation is invited to attend a Good Friday service on April 19 at noon at The Commons, coordinated by the Ecumenical Assembly. Sunrise Service will be at the church at 7 a.m. Easter morning, followed by a breakfast prepared and served by the United Methodist Women and United Methodist Men. The worship service will begin at 9 a.m. celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Baker's Dozen study group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting. The Journey study class meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the home Chris Kimerling. Sit 'n Stitch group will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., also at the Nolting home. The Prayer group, led by Barb Hedrick, will meet Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the church.
