The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will deliver the message, "Love," on Sunday morning at 9 a.m.

The sermon series for December will be based on the 200th anniversary of the Christmas hymn "Silent Night." Scriptures from John 1 will be read by liturgist Patsy Harris. The Advent wreath will be lit, and the choir and children will share special music, under the direction of Kathy Bush. Teresa Covert will lead the Children's time. The congregation will be encouraged to bring hats and gloves for children at Clifty Creek Elementary school, and placed under the Christmas tree in the narthex. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

The study of "The Gift of the Nutcracker" will be led by Rev. Scherer-Berry each Sunday morning during Advent, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Bible study classes will meet on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting and also at the home of Chris Kimerling. The "Sit and Stitch" group will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., also at the Nolting home. Prayer Group will will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning, led by Barb Hedrick.

A service named "Blue Christmas" will be held at 7 p.m. December 21 at the church; it will be led by Rev. Scherer-Berry and will focus on the loss of loved ones during the past year. The United Methodist Women will serve a light supper at 6 p.m. prior to the service; all are welcome.
