At the 9 a.m. worship service at Petersville United Methodist Church on Sunday morning, the Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will deliver the message "Hover" and emphasize the idea that God has the big picture.

Joe Bush, liturgist, will share scriptures from Luke 4:1-13. The choir will provide special music, and Teresa Covert will give the children's sermon. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

For the next six months, the loose change offering each Sunday will be directed to FISH, the food bank program at Love Chapel.

The Baker's Dozen study group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting; the Journey study class also meets on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. at Chris Kimerling's home. New members are always welcome to both classes.

The Sit and Stitch group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, also at the Nolting home. Choir practice is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, and the Prayer group will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church.

The United Methodist Men's group will meet Sunday February 3 at 7:15 a.m. at the church. The men will be hosting a Valentine Party at 5 p.m. February 17 at The Pines restaurant at Seymour; sign up for the event at church.
