The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will deliver the message, "Risk," at the 9 a.m. worship service on Sunday Fe. 3 at the Petersville United Methodist Church.

She will ask the question, "What can you do to risk what God has given you to expand love and grace in the world?" Joe Bush, liturgist, will read scriptures from Matthew 25:24-30. Teresa Cover will give the children's sermon, and the choir will provide special music. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

Rev. Scherer-Berry will lead a class at 10:30 a.m. using the book, "Shaped by God's Heart." Anyone is welcome to attend.

The Baker's Dozen study group will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting; the Journey study group will meet at the home of Chris Kimerling, also on Monday night at 6:30 p.m.

The Sit and Stitch group will meet Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Nolting home. Choir practice is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the church, and Prayer group will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, led by Barb Hedrick.

The United Methodist Men's group will meet Sunday February 3 at 7:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. They will be hosting a Valentine Dinner on February 17 at 5 p.m. at The Pines at Seymour; persons may sign up at church or contact Don Jackson at 812-546-4065.

The church will be providing child care for parents wishing to enjoy an evening out on February 14 or 15 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Games, music, crafts and a light meal will be provided. Reservations should be made by calling 812-657-2882.
