At the 9 a.m. worship service on Mission Emphasis Sunday, the Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will deliver the message "The Right Tempo;" scriptures from Matthew 11:28-30 will be shared by the liturgist Patsy Harris. The choir will provide special music, led by Kathy Bush, and Teresa Covert will give the children's sermon.

Special guests will be Shane and Shannon Hartman and their family; they currently live at Camp Monento, a United Methodist camp located just off State Road 46 West, where Shane has served as the Camp Director for the past four years. Last fall, as their family prepared for their vacation to south Florida, they made the decision to collect needed items for the victims of Hurricane Michael; they ended up pulling a trailer behind their van with all those items donated by people and churches from the Bartholomew County area and delivered them to Good News United Methodist Church at Seaside FL. The congregation will be invited to make pledges to the annual Faith Promise project which supports mission work locally, nationally, and internationally. Through the work of Faith Promise, Petersville has supported a large variety of projects around the world for more than twenty-five years.

A time of fellowship will follow the service, and the Hartmans will be available to visit and answer questions during this time.

The Baker's Dozen study group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting; the Journey study class also meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Chris Kimerling. New members are always welcome in both classes.

The Sit and Stitch group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, also at the Nolting home. Choir practice is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, and Prayer group will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
