The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will deliver the message "Born From Above" at the 9 a.m. Sunday worship service at the Petersville United Methodist Church, 2781 N. County Road 500 E, Columbus.

The theme for the day will be "Christ is King when we are Born from Above." Scripture from John 18:33-37 will be shared by the liturgist Sandy Williams, and the choir will share special music. Two persons will be welcomed into membership at Petersville UMC. Teresa Covert will give the children's sermon. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

The Monday night Bible study classes will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the homes of Chris Kimerling and the Larry Noltings. The Sit and Stitch group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, also at the Nolting home. Choir practice will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the church on Wednesday, and Prayer Time will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with Barb Hedrick as leader. Chris Kimerling will be hostess for United Methodist Women's group on Thursday October 29; members are reminded to bring their World Thank Offering.

The church continues to collect food items for Love Chapel and the Hope Food Bank; also, recyclable bottle caps are being collected for Clifty Creek Elementary School, the loose coins in each Sunday's offering will go to the Bishop's Children's Christmas Fund.
