The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will give her sermon, "Follow Your Star," at the 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 5th morning worship service at Petersville United Methodist Church.

The focus for the next several weeks will be to answer the question, "Who are you?" Sunday's theme will be "What paths is God shining light upon for you?" Scriptures from Isaiah 60 and Matthew 2 will be shared by the liturgist. Teresa Covert will give the children's sermon, the choir will provide special music. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

Prior to worship service, the United Methodist Men will meet at 7:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Don Harris will lead the business session, and Larry Nolting will lead the book study.

The Baker's Dozen Bible study group will meet at the Larry and Connie Nolting home at 6:30 p.m. on Monday; the Journey Bible study group will meet at the home of Chris Kimerling, also on Monday at 6:30 p.m. The Sit and Stitch group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Nolting home. All three groups welcome new members.

Choir practice is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and Prayer Time is at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning at the church led by Barb Hedrick.

On Jan. 11th, a planning session for 2020 will be held at Old National Bank from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, with Kathy Bush serving as leader.
