The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will give her sermon, "Patience," on Sunday morning Nov. 17 at the 9 a.m. worship service at Petersville United Methodist Church.

The theme for the day will be "Hope is patience endured," and liturgist Sandy Williams will share scriptures from Hebrews 6:1-12. Teresa Covert will present the children's sermon, and the choir will present a special song entitled "Have Patience," directed by Kathy Bush and accompanied by Chris Kimerling. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

The Monday night Bible studies will meet at 6:30 p.m. with Baker's Dozen meeting at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting, and The Journey meeting at the home of Chris Kimerling.

"Sit and Stitch" will meet Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m., also at the Nolting home.

Prayer Time, led by Barb Hedrick, will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning at the church.

United Methodist Women will have their monthly meeting Thursday night at 6 p.m. at the church. Jeanne Starr will share information about her granddaughter of Peoria IL who is a 2017 Graduate of Moody Bible College, worked with other missionaries in Nigeria translating the Bible into native languages, and will return to Nigeria next summer.
