The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will give the message, "We Do, We Live," at the 9 a.m. worship service at the Petersville United Methodist Church.

Scripture from Luke 22 will be shared by liturgist Deb Loper. The theme for the day will be "When our Purpose joins with our Doing, then we have found our Calling." Teresa Covert will give the children's message, and special music will be shared by the choir. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

Both Monday night Bible studies will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting and also at the home of Chris Kimerling. New members are invited to join either class.

On Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m., the Sit and Stitch group will meet at the Nolting home and newcomers are welcome. Choir practice will be held at the church each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. New members are welcome to join the choir.

Prayer Time, led by Barb Hedrick, will meet Thursday morning at 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Any person may attend.

The United Methodist Women's group will meet Thursday evening September 19 at 6 p.m. at the home of Patsy Harris in Hope; anyone is welcome to attend.

On Sunday evening Sept. 15, United Methodist Men will host their annual community Hot Dog Roast and Ice Cream Social; they will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, table service, and ice cream. Those attending may bring a dish to share and should bring their lawn chairs; the gathering will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the east side of the church property.
