On Sunday, Oct. 22nd, Hope United Methodist Church will be hosting Hymns of Hope from 7:05 to 8:25 p.m. The program will start with the Community Children's Choir directed by Susan Brown and accompanied by David Brown followed by a solo by former pastor of Hope United Methodist Church, Dave Galbrath.

David Brown will then share the story behind four songs of love and lead the congregation in singing them. He will be accompanied by his wife, Susan, on the piano as well as by well-known local organist, John Ziegler, and by several members of the Columbus City Band.

Afterward, the Waldron United Methodist Church Choir will sing a special. Pastor Ed Cottrell will deliver a short message related to love.

Then, there will be a time to select some favorite hymns after sharing the reason why. The story before the singing of these songs always conveys a meaningful message.

For those wishing to arrive early, there will be a social and snack time form 6:15 to 6:50 p.m. There will be some tasty goodies and beverages provided by the Hope United Methodist congregation.

A meditation time will start at 6:50 p.m. with some wonderful instrumental music.

The offering will help support three wonderful community organizations: the Hope Elementary Good News Club, the Hope Ministerial Association, and the Community Children's Choir.

Dave Galbraith has a CD, "The Messenger," which will be available for anyone who would like to purchase it.

Please put this event on your schedule as many did for the first one with a focus on hope and the second one with a focus on faith.
