The Hauser Lady Jets welcomed cross town rival Columbus Christain to town on Tuesday night for an emotional night of community and basketball.
The Jets started fast taking a 27-6 lead after the first quarter. The game was never in question as the Jets held Columbus Christain to eight total first half points on their way to scoring 47. The Jets cruised to a 73-22 final score.
Hauser enjoyed a great shooting night shooting 56% from the floor on 23/39 shooting including 7 of 14 from the arc. The Jets again pushed the pace getting a season high 38 points in transition and forcing Columbus Christain into 25 turnovers.
The Jets were led by senior guard Kyliegh Parrott’s 23 points and junior guard Madelyn Poe’s 21 points on 9 of 11 shooting. Norah Berkenstock added 10 points and Musillami and Bostic each had 4 points. Kilps, Mires, and Williams all hit 3’s to contribute 3 points apiece. Senior Max Preps Player of the Game Jaden Sims scored 2 points to round out the scoring for the Jets. Poe led the team in steals and deflections with 5, while also leading the team in assists with 4. Kenze Bostic led the team with 10 rebounds.
The Jets moved to 3-3 on the year and will host Indy Lutheran on Thursday for GLOW Night starting at 6 p.m.
