The Varsity Team welcomed Shawe Memorial to Hauser for a non-conference Senior Celebration game.
Hauser recognized its three seniors Kyliegh Parrott, Adrianna Musillami, and Jaden Sims before the varsity game.
The game stayed tight for the entire first half with Shawe up 11-10 after one and the game was tied after two quarters at 21. Shawe used a third quarter run to take a 39-31 lead after three quarters. Hauser’s scrappy comeback ended in a 50-47 loss.
Hauser was unable to keep Shawe from converting on second chance points and shooting 40% from the field.
Hauser’s defense continues to create offense by converting 13 fast break points. The Jets were led in steals by junior Madelyn Poe with 3, she also was the leading rebounder with senior Adrianna Musillami with 7 rebounds. Musillami took the free throw percentage award by going three for four from the charity stripe. Poe led the team in assists with 3 and deflections with 6. Senior Kyliegh Parrott was awarded the Maxpreps Player of the Game with 16 points, 2 blocks, 2 steals, 2 deflections, 2 assists, and a rebound.
The Jets are now 1-2 on the year and will host Waldron on Friday for a Varsity only game starting at 7 p.m.
