The Community Center of Hope will be hosting its annual meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hope Moravian Church.

Executive Director Chelsea Warriner says the center hopes for increased attendance this year.

“We will talk about our goals for the year and what we accomplished for 2018,” Warriner says. “The meeting will end with us going over our goals for 2019.”

As with previous meetings, the agenda will cover the center’s financial information, such as expenses versus income, updates about the food pantry and child care programs and numbers of families served through the center’s programs overall.

A free-will donation pulled pork dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with the meeting beginning around 6:30 p.m., Warriner says. All proceeds from the event will benefit the center.

The Community Center of Hope, originally known as the group Focus, was established in 1999. Focus’ sole mission was to improve life in Hope.

Today, the center’s carries on that focus through its food pantry and child care, as well as offering special events and programs for the residents of Hope.

Each year, the center’s food pantry serves an average of 200 families and its child care programs serve nearly 75 families, according to Warriner.
