Press release

The Hawcreek-Flat Rock Area Endowment has been given the opportunity to grow its fund through a collaboration between a generous benefactor and Heritage Fund.

Former Hope area resident Timothy M. Andrews, of Princeton, N.J., and the community foundation have each agreed to a dollar-for-dollar match on every gift received by the endowment now through Dec. 31, 2017, up to a total of $10,000. The endowment could potentially increase its coffers by $30,000 with this opportunity.

Anyone wishing to donate will triple the value of their gift through the challenge.

Checks should be made payable to Hawcreek-Flat Rock Area Endowment Fund. Donations can be mailed to Hawcreek-Flat Rock Area Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 202, Hope, IN 47246.

The Hawcreek Flat Rock Area Endowment was established in 2002 by area residents for the betterment of the community. Since its inception, the fund has made 117 grants, totaling $158,527 to area not-for-profit organizations.
