HSJ Online is your local not-for-profit and free digital newspaper.

With an operating yearly budget of around $17,000, our existence depends on donations from the community which has been very supportive for five years. On Friday, Dec. 13th, HSJ Online is having a fundraiser at WILLow LeaVes to help meet our budget. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at $15 with a portion of that amount generously returned by WILLow LeaVes to HSJ Online.

Sally Webster, Pam Webster Anderson, and Avery Tallent will perform acoustic sets during dinner. Hauser graduate and now teacher, Brock Harris, will talk about how events in the news inspired Sally's songwriting. Sally, her sister, Pam, and Avery will then perform original songs from her vast music library: "Dreams To Reality-Simmons School," "Angel Wings-Ryan White," "On Wings Of Doves-9/11," and "Piece By Piece-Berlin Wall."

Afterward, the HAUSERBOYZ will take the stage performing mostly classic songs of the '70s and '80s. These will be songs sure to bring back some good memories and to generate movement, singing, and clapping in the crowd. The band consists of Hauser graduates Tim McNamee, Scott DeBusk, Tallent and Paul Bunting.

Those contributing $25 or more during the evening will receive a “Dreams To Reality” family CD starring former Hope Elementary students with the first two tracks devoted to our local one-room schoolhouse, Simmons.  We would like to thank the Town of Hope for their support and for providing these CDs.

Electronic donations also can be made through hsjonline.org here.
