Hauser Varsity Tennis

Hauser girls tennis finished 1st in the Brown County tournament. Three positions won individual medals and Hauser also won the trophy with the deciding match being between #1 singles Abby Johnson and Edinburgh's #1 Singles Haley Jones.

#1 singles Abby Johnson best Julia Williams of Brown County  6-3,6-4 and Haley Jones of Edinburgh) 6-4,6-2.

#1 doubles sister duo Carly Archer/Maddy Archer won against Cassidy Davis/Olivia Baughman of Brown County 4-6,6-2 10-5 and then against Haven Link/Annelise Lollar (Edinburgh).

#2 doubles Brooke Hopkins/Aunaka Wasil won against Hannah Asher/Grace Baughman of Brown County 6-1, 7-6 (7-5) and against Katie Roberts/Bethany Burton of Edinburgh) 6-4,6-3.

Hauser Girls Varsity Track

The girls varsity track team placed 4th out of  at the Triton Invitational. Placing first for Hauser was Mel Hasler in the 300 hurdles and Grace Isley in the 100m. Placing 2nd were Marnie Schwartzkopf in the 800m and Mel Hasler in the 200m. Placing 3rd were Ashley Chambers in the high jump and the 4x400 of Schwartzkopf, Isley, Dalbuono and Hasler and the 4x800 team of Schwartzkopf,Chambers, Garcia and Harker. Ashley Chambers also placed 5th in the 400m and long jump. Grace Isley placed 4th in the long jump. Angel Gibson placed 5th and Emily Harker 7th in the shot put. Carly Beeker also placed 8th in the 300 Hurdles.

Hauser Boys Varsity Track

The boys varsity track team placed 4th out of 8 schools at the Triton Invitational. Placing first for the boys for Hauser was John Bragg in high jump. Placing 2nd was the 4x100 team of Bragg, Isaiah McDaniel, Brock Thalls and Joe Hunter. The 4x400 team of Thalls, Emils Vigants, Aleck Lopez and Ryan Ault placed 2nd. The 4x800 team of Thalls, Vigants, Ault and Ben Essex also placed 2nd. Placing 3rd was Joe Hunter in long jump and Ryan Ault in the 1600. Ault also placed 4th in the 3200. In the 400 Emils Vigants placed 5th and Aleck Lopez was 8th. Forest Steele finished 6th in the 300 hurdles and 8th in the 110 hurdles. Joe Hunter placed 6th in the 100. Placing 7th was Ben Essex in the 800 and John Bragg in long jump.

Hauser Varsity Golf

Brown County 183, Hauser 206 at Clifty Creek Golf Course

The Jets were led by Ethan Wallace with 49. The remaining Jets scoring included: Justin Stafford (51), Sam Johnson (53), Justice Gilliland (53) and Keagan Miller (61). Other Hauser scoring included Daniel Taylor (61) and Ben Johnson (69).

The Jets will return to action on April 15 at 4:30 p.m., when the Edinburgh Lancers visit Clifty Creek Golf Course.

Melanie Taylor won at #2 singles against Reagan Brown 6-1,6-0. Aunaka Wasil and Brooke Hopkins won at #2 doubles against Courtney Lykins/Elizabeth Ertel 7-5,6-1.

April 1st Scores

Hauser Varsity Track

Hauser's varsity track teams opened their season on Monday, April 1st with a sweep of Crothersville and host Trinity Lutheran.

Joe Hunter led the boys team with wins in the long jump (18' 10 1/2") and the 100 meter dash (11.8). John Bragg took first in the high jump (5' 8"), Forest Steele won the 110 meter hurdles (20.9), and Emils Vigants took the 400 meter dash (55.9). Hauser's Vigants, Koller, Essex, and Ault combined to win the 4x800 relay (9:39.2), while the team of McDaniel, Bragg, Thalls, and Hunter took the 4x100 (49.6). The Jets scored 63 points to the Cougars' 55 and the Tigers' 36.

The girls were led by wins by Ashley Chambers in high jump (4' 7") and the 400 (1:09.6), Grace Isley in long jump (14' 4") and the 100 (13.5), and Carly Beeker in the 100 high (19.2) and 300 low hurdles (1:02.9). Marnie Schwartzkopf took first place in the 800 meter race (2:34.9). Hauser scored 60 points to 49 1/2 for Trinity and 43 1/2 for Crothersville.
