Eloise M. Lynch, 79, a resident of Flat Rock, Indiana, passed from this life at 2:04 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at her home.
Mrs. Lynch was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, April 29, 1943, the loving daughter of Anthony A. and Alma Grote Ottke. On August 5, 1967, Eloise married Robert Charles Stewart; he preceded her in death September 27, 1990. She later married Hugh M. Lynch on May 7, 1994; he survives.
Mrs. Lynch was employed in quality control at Applied Laboratories, Inc. for many years and she was a “lunch lady” for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Edinburgh. Mrs. Lynch had a very creative soul, was an amazing self-taught artist, she was an inventor and very crafty.
Mrs. Lynch is survived by her husband, Hugh Lynch; four children; four stepdaughters; 14 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and seven siblings.
Mrs. Lynch was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; a great-grandson; and two siblings.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. The Rosary will be prayed at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the funeral service beginning immediately following at the funeral home. Deacon Russ Woodard will officiate.
Mrs. Lynch will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or the Cancer Center at Columbus Regional Hospital.
