The Town of Hope will again be hosting a Groundhog Day celebration on the Town Square, Thursday morning.

The event will start at 8:30 a.m. at the bandstand and will feature Grubby the Groundhog from Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitators. It will also feature Hope residents David Webster, Dave Miller and Michael Dean, playing roles in the celebration.

Dean said that he is happy to bring positive attention to the town and hopes the event turns into an annual event.

And he said he is happy to be working with Grubby.

"It is always fun when we get to highlight Utopia and the excellent work that Kathy Hershey and her organization perform," Dean said.

"The support they have given us over many years during Hope Heritage Days and Groundhog Day is greatly appreciated."

Refreshments will be provided by WILLow LeaVes of Hope.
