Hope United Methodist Church news for Dec. 1st

For the First Sunday in Advent, Kayla led the Call to Worship and the lighting of the Candle of Hope.
Pastor Warren's Sermon was based on the Scripture Lesson from I Thessalonians 3:9-13, with the Gospel Lesson from Luke 21:25-36.
The Community Christ Giving Service was held at The Cross Worship Service at Hauser at 6 p.m. The offering was to go to the Hope Ministerial Association.
The Annual Cookie Walk will be held after Worship next Sunday, Dec. 6. Bring cookies to add to the exchange. A free will offering will be taken by the UMW.
The HUMC Christmas Party will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 6:30 pm at WILLow LEAves. Cost will be $15 per person, which includes the meal, drink, dessert and gratuity. Bring a white elephant gift for the fun exchange.
The Texas Roadhouse giftcard program will end soon. They can be purchased in increments of $5, and ten percent of the price of the Gift Card will go to Feed My Starving Children. Return your forms and money to Brenda by Dec. 8.
Pastor Warren will be leading an Advent Bible Study each Sunday evening until Christmas.
