Petersville United Methodist Church news for April 2nd
By From Patsy Harris-
The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will be using the theme "Dare to Dance Again" when she delivers the message on Sunday April 8 at the Petersville United Methodist Church; scripture from 2 Samuel 6 will be shared by liturgist Joe Bush. Rev. Scherer-Berry will be reminding the congregation that during the post-resurrection season, stories point to the joy of living in the beloved community, extending that fellowship through our witness as we dare to dance and "sing out strong!" Teresa Covert will give the children's message and the adult choir will provide special music. A time of fellowship will follow the service and the pastor will continue with the Lenten study beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The Monday night Bible studies will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the homes of Larry and Connie Nolting and Chris Kimerling. The "Sit 'n Stitch" group will meet Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m., also at the Nolting home. Choir practice will be Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m., directed by Kathy Bush. Thursday morning Prayer Time will be at the church at 10 a.m., led by Barb Hedrick.
The NOW committee is planning a "Kite Day" community event on Saturday April 21 at the church; a light lunch will be served. All ages are invited.
