Petersville United Methodist Church news for Jan. 3rd

The Rev. Stormy Sherer-Berry will use the sermon topic "How Long Does Christmas Last?" when she gives the message on Sunday morning at the 9 a.m. worship service at Petersville United Methodist Church.

Deb Loper, liturgist, will share scriptures from the book of Luke. Teresa Covert will present the children's message, and the children will sing and sign the song "Do You Hear What I Hear," led by Allyson Loper and Jean Parker. The children will join the adult choir to sing "Joy to the Whole World." A time of fellowship will follow the service.

The United Methodist Men's group will meet at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday morning in the church fellowship hall.

The Monday night Bible Study classes will resume on Monday Janu. 9, meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Nolting home and at the same time at the Kimerling home. The Sit and Stitch group will meet on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Nolting home.

The Walking group will meet at 9 a.m. on Monday and Wednesday mornings at Fair Oaks Mall. Prayer group, led by Barb Hedrick, will meet Thursday morning at the church at 10 a.m.

A church-wide planning Session for 2017 will meet Saturday Jan. 14 at 9 a.m. at the church; the meeting will conclude at 12 noon. Any member or friend of the church is invited to attend. Information: Ad Council Chair, Chris Kimerling, 812-447-9357.
