Petersville United Methodist Church news for week of Sept. 6th

Her thoughts will include "If God can save Paul, God can save anyone." Scriptures from Psalm 14 and 1st Timothy will be shared by liturgist Barb Hedrick. Teresa Covert will give the children's sermon. A time of fellowship will follow the service. The newly appointed Indiana Bishop, Julius C.Trible, will be installed at a service at St. Luke's United Methodist Church at 4 p.m. Sunday.
The Monday night Bible studies will be held at the Kimerling home and the Nolting home at 6:30 p.m. New class members are encouraged to attend. The Sit and Stitch group will be meeting at the Nolting home at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. Choir practice, under the direction of Kathy Bush, will be held at the church at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Prayer group, led by Barb Hedrick, will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
The Walking group will meet at 9 a.m. on Monday and Wednesday mornings at the church. The Leadership/Nominations Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the church on Sept. 14th to prepare for the annual Charge Conference which will be held at Columbus First United Methodist Church on Sunday Oct. 16th at 2 p.m.
The United Methodist Men will have their monthly meeting at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday morning at the church; Don Harris will conduct the business meeting, and Larry Nolting will lead the book discussion. The Men's group will have the Lyle Garber Memorial Golf outing on Sunday Sept. 18th at 2 p.m. at Clifty Creek Golf Course.
On Sept. 18th, the worship service will be held on the front lawn of the church at 10:30 a.m. Persons attending should bring lawn chairs. A picnic pitch-in lunch
will follow the service.
