Baseball varsity loses close game to Greensburg; Reserves win no-hitter

Hauser fell, 9-8, to Greensburg Tuesday night.

The Jets found themselves down early as the Pirates scored 3 runs in the first inning. Greensburg continue build up the lead jumping out to 9-0 after the top of the 5th.

The Jets finally broke through in the bottom half of the 5th scoring 3 runs and then adding 5 more runs in the 7th to make the score 9-8. The Jets were lead at the plate by Senior Rory Thayer (2-5), sophomore Evan Shaw (2-4) and Freshman Sam Meek (2-4). The Jets are now 6-3 on the season and will face Columbus North at Hauser on Friday at 5 p.m.

Hauser reserves throw no-hitter



Hauser JV freshmen pitchers, Sam Meek (WP) and Kadin Pattingill throw a combined no-hitter as the Jets defeated Columbus Christian Monday 16-0.

Meek was also 2-3 at the plate with a double. The Jets also got hits from Freshmen Jon Hatton (2B), Jacob Rose (1B, 2B) and Jacob Johnson (1B).

The reserves next game is today, April 22nd, at Indian Creek, with a start time 5 p.m.
