Hauser's boys middle school cross country team took first place over four rival schools on Tuesday, as the Jets' high school and junior high runners competed at Blue River Cross Country Course in Shelbyville.

Ryan Ault (11:55), Tanner Ault (11:56), and Noah Estes (12:08) led the junior high boys with 4th, 5th, and 6th place finishes. Kobe Meahl (12th, 12:59) and Alex Bower (14th, 13:07) rounded out the Jets' scoring runners to give the team a three-point edge over second-place Triton Central. Waldron, Indian Creek, and Edinburgh also competed in the race.

Hauser's Ashley Chambers placed 5th in the middle school girls race, with a time of 14:27.

In varsity competition, the Edinburgh Lancers won the girls race with 15 points against incomplete teams from Hauser and Waldron. Hauser's boys team placed second to the Mohawks, 19 to 38. Jets runners Tori Chandler (25:56) and David Seelye (19:07) each came away with individual 2nd place finishes.

The high school cross country team competes again at Saturday's Whiteland Invitational, while the middle school runners travel to face Waldron in a dual meet next Thursday.[[In-content Ad]]
