Carol Ann Dye, 72, of Hope

Carol Ann Dye, 72, of Hope, died Monday, September 25, 2017 at her home.

She had worked as a comptroller at a structural steel firm.

Because she was a military child and wife, Carol had many friends around the world that she enjoyed keeping in touch with online. She also loved horses.

Born on April 27, 1945 in Shelbyville, Carol was the daughter of Leonard and Barbara Joanne Andrews Jackley. She married Danny Dye 54 years ago, and he preceded her in death about 10 years ago.

She is survived by brothers, Michael, Matthew, and Steven Jackley, all of Omaha, Nebraska; aunts and uncles, Mary Andrews Garten of Columbus, Linda Andrews Fourman of Columbus, Rev. Robert Andrews of Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Sarah Andrews of Columbus; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces; 17 cousins; and several 2nd and 3rd generation cousins.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and four aunts and uncles.

Cremation is planned and there will be a private gathering at a later date.
