Cleland leads teams on 100-game win streak
The Lady Eagles posted a 5-0 win over Shelbyville.
Since losing a Hoosier Heritage Conference match in May 2010, the Delta boy and girls have recorded 100 consecutive conference wins.
Coach Cleland, 53, has 941 career high school varsity wins, boys and girls combined. Only one conference school has a smaller enrollment than Delta, and they regularly play a very strong non-conference schedule which includes numerous larger city squads.
Last week, the girls tennis team defeated Marion 5-0 to win its third consecutive regional tennis title and its sixth in the past seven years. The team lost 3-2 to Fort Wayne Carroll in the Homestead Semi-State on Saturday.[[In-content Ad]]
