Cones for a Cause helps Hope FFA Chapter

By From Hailey Lange-

As has become tradition in September, Hope FFA set up their legendary blue building in preparation for a long, fun Heritage Days weekend!

This years' Heritage Days was much like the past as the booth sold their famous mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, chicken sandwiches, and home cut fries with a variety of drinks, but it was also a very unique year for the Hope FFA chapter.

Macie Hill, along with her parents, set their Cones for a Cause booth right next to the FFA building. Cones for a Cause is a non-profit organization that Macie started to help other organizations that she is a part of, or the ones who come to her and ask for her help. She and her family go to events such as Heritage Days and Smoke on the Square to sell cones for basically anyone who asks.

"I started it because I wanted to give back to the community, and I know that having an organization of any sort can be very costly. A little extra support never hurts," Macie says.

Macie is an FFA member and wanted to contribute to the Heritage Days fundraiser. She came to Mrs. Dickerson this year and asked to donate all profits to the Hope FFA Chapter.

Mrs. Dickerson and the officers were excited to benefit from these efforts and thankful that the Hill Family thought of the chapter. After a very successful weekend, they were able to donate nearly $280.

Hope FFA is proud of members like Macie who are living out the FFA motto with their willingness to serve their organization and community.[[In-content Ad]]
