Donald Leon Workman, 79, Hartsville

Before retirement he had been employed at Cummins Engine Co. for 37 years and at Ceraland for five years.
He attended Hartsville Baptist Church, was a member of the Columbus Model A Club and the Hartsville Fire Department.
The funeral will be Tuesday, Feb. 17th at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Tim Tallent officiating. Visitation will be Monday, Feb 16th from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. In Donald's memory, there will be an Indiana Volunteer Fire Department Association service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Hospice of South Central Indiana, Hartsville Fire Department or Hartsville Baptist Church through the funeral home.
Born Jan. 8th, 1936 in Lake City, Iowa, Donald was the son of Everett D. and Pearl M. Drake Workman. He married Carol J. Israel June 23rd, 1957 at Burney Baptist Church.
Donald loved to do woodworking, work on cars and especially loved going to his grandchildren's events.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; sons, Don (Annette) Workman of Avon and Thomas Workman of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Timothy(Lisa) Workman of Greenwood and Nicole (Anthony) Goodpaster of Plainfield; a sister, Anna Phillippe of Ft. Collins, Colorado and a brother, Cecil (Linda) Workman of Columbus.
Donald was preceded in death by; his parents; brothers, Buford Workman, Wayne Workman and Eugene Workman and a sister, Margaret Francis Workman.[[In-content Ad]]
