Donors make first Hope FFA fund drive successful

By By Annie Ashbrook-

Throughout the school year, the Hope FFA Chapter works to raise funds to sponsor the organization's activities during the year.

Members participate in fundraising, but this year, one of the biggest incomes for the chapter was the first annual fund drive. The chapter officers took a day during National FFA Week in February to visit local businesses and industries to discuss supporting the chapter. All donated funds go directly towards helping new members pay dues, buy jackets, attend camps and conferences, provide scholarships, and directly towards improvement in the chapter.

"Seeing how the chapter will benefit from the generosity of these local businesses, I can't wait to do the fund drive again next year," said Hope FFA's Vice President, Kortney Wallace.

The donors were assigned to levels depending on their donation amount, but every business that graciously helped the chapter is extremely appreciated.

Please check out these great local businesses, who include:

  • Executive Gold: $500+ -- Mhart Express, Flatrock Ag Supply, Enkei, Grammer Industries
