Doris M. Drake Glick Robinette, 89, Hope

Doris M. Drake Glick Robinette, 89, of Hope passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor.

She had worked at Ken-Joy Nursing Home and Cummins Engine Company. She was a member and worked as a custodian at the Hope Moravian Church.

Doris enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and was a lover of Scotty dogs.

Cremation was planned and a graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Moravian Cemetery with Pastor Andy Kilps officiating.

Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or to the Hope Moravian Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.

Born on April 11, 1926 in Columbus, Doris was the daughter of Orden and Francis Hamblen Drake. Both of her parents died in 1931, and Doris and her siblings were raised by their grandmother, Addie E. Gilliland Drake in Hope. She was a 1945 Hope High School graduate.

Doris married Maurice Glick on May 7, 1945 and he died on July 16, 1948. She then married John Robinette on May 8, 1949 whom preceded her in death on November 8, 2003.

She is survived by her children, Royce (Mary) Glick of Columbus and Julanna (Dean) Young of Hope; brother, Rolland (Isabelle) Drake of Mechanicville, Maryland; sister, Valeria (Paul) Fetter of Columbus; Five grandchildren, Don Glick of Columbus, Scott Glick of Hope, Bryan (Stacy) Glick of Columbus, Shawn Young of Boston, Massachusetts, and Shannon (Michael) Winks of Brownstown; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.[[In-content Ad]]
