Duck Ponderings: New children's choir seeking singers

It is my pleasure to announce an opportunity for third-sixth graders to participate in a community choir directed by Susan & David Brown in the chapel of the Hope Baptist Church with the first practice scheduled for Sunday, March 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Practices for this season will continue through Sundays in April, with the exception of Easter Sunday, and end with the choir performing at Hope United Methodist Church on Sunday evening, April 30 at a community service.

Both Susan and David are new to our community but not new to directing choirs for children. They have been responsible for many over the years and are pleased to form one in the Hope area to help children follow their musical dreams.

During my years of teaching at Hope Elementary, some of my best memories would have to be centered around helping students produce CDs. I have had the honor of being present at a lot of Hope Elementary programs involving all children singing songs where my whole being has been uplifted. Not long ago, I worked with Mrs. Banta, Mr. Law, and several Hope Elementary students with a musical, "Hot Fudge Pickles," at WILLow LeaVes. I am extremely excited about Susan and David offering their many musical talents in working with young people in developing their voices. Below, you will find some of the many credentials of the Browns:

About David Brown: Interim Pastor, Piano/Vocal Performer, Piano Tuner, Trumpet Performer in Columbus City Band, Choir Director for 30+ Years, Piano Player in Patsy Cline Musical at WILLow LeaVes, Leader of Hope Community Hymns of Hope

About Susan Brown: English As A Second Language Tutor/Teacher, Piano/Vocal Teacher & Performer, Children's Choir Director & two Musicals Yearly for 30+ Years, Leader of Hope Community Hymns of Hope

To participate, please fill out the form below and return to Susan Brown during first practice on Sunday, March 26 at 5:30 p.m. at Hope Baptist Church.[[In-content Ad]]
