Early voting centers open this week

By HSJ Online [email protected]

Three early voting satellite centers are opening this week in Bartholomew County.

Registered voters can cast ballots at any of the three centers or at the Bartholomew County Courthouse, Monday through Saturday.

Voting hours at the courthouse on Washington Street in Columbus will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The satellite sites are at:

  • Main Source Bank on Jonathan Moore Pike on the west side of Columbus.

  • Donner Park on 22nd Street in Columbus.

  • Flintwood Wesleyan Church on the east side of Columbus.

Voting will be available at the satellite sites from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Early voting will also be available at the courthouse until noon on Monday, Nov. 7th.

On Election Day, Nov. 8th, Bartholomew County will be using vote centers for the first time in a countywide general election. Instead of going to your usual precinct, voters will cast ballots at one of 18 voter centers across the county.

The closest vote center to Hope will be at Hope Moravian Church, but voters can go to whichever of the 18 centers is most convenient.
