Early voting locations open today

Bartholomew County primary election voters will have four early voting locations starting today and going through next Monday, the day before the May 3rd primary election.

You can cast your ballot early Monday through Friday this week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three Columbus locations: Donner Center on 22nd Street, Main Source Bank on Jonathan Moore Pike and Flintwood Wesleyan Church at 5300 25th St. in Columbus. The Bartholomew County Courthouse on Washington Street will be open for early voting on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Saturday, Donner Center, Main Source Bank and Flintwood Wesleyan Church will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for early voting. Early voting ends on Monday, May 2nd at the courthouse from 8 a.m. to noon.

Vote centers in effect



The May 3rd primary election will be the first countywide election to use the new voting center plan, which replaces the traditional precinct polling places. On Election Day, there will be 18 vote centers open throughout Bartholomew County and you can cast your ballot at any of the locations.

Vote centers in the Hope area include, Hope Moravian Church, 202 Main St., and Clifford Fire Station, 4613 E. Poplar St., in Clifford.

Polls are open on May 3rd from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

2016 Primary Candidates



Hope voters will be choosing between two candidates for the Ward 2 seat on the Town Council on the Democratic ballot, but there are also contested races from the presidential race, all the way down to countywide races like County Council at-large, County Commissioners, Circuit Court judge.
