Emogene Webb, 89, Hope

She attended Old Regular Baptist Church in Kurtz, IN. She graduated from Whitesville High School and Pikeville College, both in Kentucky. During her years of employment she was a teacher.
She was a member of the Hope Volunteer Fire Dept., Ladys Auxilliary, Hope Lions Club and Royal Neighbors of America. She loved to do word search puzzles and watch the Indiana Pacers.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 3rd at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2nd and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow and burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Hope Volunteer Fire Dept. or Miller's Merry Manor Activities Fund through the funeral home.
Born April 22, 1926 in Mayking, KY, Emogene was the daughter of Fred and Susan Webb. She married Mayford Webb December 4, 1943 and he preceded her in death October 10, 2010 after 67 years of marriage.
Survivors include daughters, Carolyn (Steve) Hofeditz of Panama City, FL, Joyce (Michael) Henderson of Hope and Sharon Webb of Hope; grandchildren, Mika (Kurtis) Greenwald of Las Vegas, NV, Jennifer (Nolen) Simmons of Tucson, AZ, Scott (Audrey) Henderson of Winter Garden, FL, Lanna Roby of Heston, KS, Amanda (Glen) Burden of Columbus and an adopted daughter, Pat Smith Foist of Columbus; 11 great-grandchildren and two granddogs, Shada Jo and Cazper, known to Emogene as "That Dog".
Emogene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister; one brother; a daughter, Janice Webb; a son, Dale Webb and grandson, Mark Henderson.[[In-content Ad]]
