Press release
May is bike month and in honor of this healthy, fun and environmentally friendly alternate form of transportation, many organizations within the community are hosting a variety of activities.
The month kicks off with activities spanning Bike to School Day to Handlebar Happy Hour and even a Mad Men Bike Ride.
Handlebar Happy Hour is May 5th and will be at the Columbus Bike Co-op (the basement of the United Way, 1531 13th Street). This is the perfect opportunity to relax, socialize with other bicyclists, and learn more about the great resources offered by the Columbus Bicycle Co-op (www.bikeco-op.org). There will be free appetizers and a cash bar.
The Mad Men Bike Ride is on Saturday, May 7th. Organizer Brooke Hawkins notes, "This Mid-century Modern ride will explore some of Columbus' public buildings and residential areas at a leisurely pace. Celebrating National Bike Month and National Preservation Month, this casual, social ride is free and open to everyone. Mid-century attire is encouraged. Visit www.landmarkcolumbus.org for more information.[[In-content Ad]]
