The first farmer's market of the season will kick off this afternoon on the Hope Town Square including an Indy 500 pace car.

This year, the markets will include live music and a classic car cruise-in.

The markets will be held the first Friday of every month, starting on May 6th from 5 to 8 p.m. In July, the markets will be held every Friday.

The farmer's markets are being organized by Main Street of HOPE. Brittany Young, executive director of Main Street of HOPE, was able to use her connections as a 500 princess to arrange for the pace car at next week's event. Young will also be at the event in her role as a princess.

The pace car will be on the north west corner of the square, beside the town clock. This year is the 100th running of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.[[In-content Ad]]
