Forum Wednesday on future of public schools

The Bartholomew County Public Library will be hosting a public forum on "Are Public Schools in Peril?" from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday Jan. 10th in the Red Room at the main library branch on Fifth Street in Columbus.

The panel will discuss Indiana's educational changes and the impact on local schools and our children including a presentation by Dr. Rocky Killion, Superintendent the West Lafayette Community School Corporation. A panel with Jim Roberts, Superintendent Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation; Shawn Price, Superintendent Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corporation; Jill Shedd, IU School of Education and BCSC Board Member and Cathy Fuentes-Rowher, Indiana Coalition for Public Education, Monroe County will discuss the issues.

A question and answer session will follow the panel.
