Glenn E. Kissling, 84, Saginaw, TX

Before retirement he was a firefighter with the Department of Army in Fort Hood, Texas and a businessman in Hope for 23 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Engineers, deployed for the reconstruction of Japan in 1952. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason for 52 years. He was a 50 year member of the American Legion. He was on the Hope Volunteer Fire Department from 1954-1981. He was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church, Shriners and Scottish Rite.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic service at 8 p.m. Monday. Burial with military graveside rites will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Born in Bartholomew County Nov. 19th, 1930, Glenn was the son of Carl S. and Ethel P. (Essex) Kissling. He was married Aug. 6th, 1954 to Alice Faye (Rhoades) Kissling for 60 years and she survives. Other survivors include sons, Bruce(Rosa) Kissling of Saginaw, Texas and Brad (Monica) Kissling of Bonham, Texas; grandchildren, Tanner, Tyce, Tad, Tobi and Tucker Kissling; sisters, Mary Grace Miller, Martha Broady and Esther(Dale) Dailey, all of Hope.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ethel, brother, David Kissling and sister, Ruth Ziegler.
