Hauser baseball splits doubleheader with Knightstown

The Hauser baseball team split a doubleheader with Knightstown.

The varsity was defeated in the first game of the doubleheader 13-0, giving Hauser their first loss in the conference.

The Jets junior varsity team won game two, 9-8. The JV found themselves down by 3 runs going into their final at bat in the bottom of the 7th.

Freshman Jordan Johnson led the inning off with an infield single, then sophomore Evan Shaw followed up with a walk. Sophomore Brandon Holt would then drove in Johnson with an RBI single. Next up to bat, Sophomore Eric McMullen hit a triple to drive in Shaw and Holt, tying the game up 8-8.

Freshman Jacob Johnson would finish things by hitting a sac fly the left field to score McMullen, winning the game 9-8.

The next game for the JV is Saturday at Morristown.
