The varsity boys will open Tuesday night at South Decatur against Jac-Cen-Del following the Rising Sun vs. South Decatur game. Tip-off should be around 7:30 p.m. Three weeks ago, the Jets defeated the Eagles 83-77 in a fantastic game. Look for the intensity to heat up in sectional play.
There will be a community pep rally for the Hauser sectional team Monday night 6:15 p.m. at the Hauser Gym. Come out and support your Hauser Jets!

Hope 5th-grade Team White wins invitational tournament
Some exciting season-ending elementary action saw the Hope Team White defeat Waldron in the championship game Saturday afternoon at Hauser 46-38. The team had defeated Edinburgh in the semi-final contest 44-27.
It was an excellent job of tag-team coaching from Wally Miller and Levi Miller. It was great to see the Hope White get the championship, as their classmates on the Hope Black were upset by Waldron in their morning contest 43-18.
Congratulations to both Hope 5th-grade teams on an exciting season!
See you in the gym, Go Jets!
Southwestern claims 6th-grade title
Mike DeArmit's Spartans defeated the Hope 6th grade in the championship of the Hope Invitational Tournament Saturday. Hope, coached by Jason Pence, hung close, only down by 4 points at halftime. The Spartans pulled away in the second half to win 36-22.
Southwestern had defeated Edinburgh in the morning game, as Hope defeated Waldron in overtime to get to the championship game. Both Hope teams were excited with the wins over Waldron, after they had lost to the Mohawks five days before.
It was a fun season to watch all the elementary teams. Thank you Principal Lisa Smith for allowing yours truly to announce and to provide music for the games. It was a blast!
