Hauser Hoops for March 5th: Jets fall in sectional opener
It wasn't easy by any means.
Unable to attend the game, I was able to watch the game online via SEI Sports website.
A game of scoring spurts saw Hauser with an eight-point lead with six minutes in the game and all the momentum. Following a phantom foul on Hauser's Zach Johnson, Coach Nobbe tried to question the official making the call.
Apparently the quick-whistling official decides a technical foul was the answer to the question. For those who don't know Coach Nobbe, technical fouls are not very common in his 19 years at Hauser.
Following the technical foul, the Jets momentum took a 180, and the Eagles were able to capitalize scoring 21 points to the Jets 1. The Eagles finished with a 75-64 win.
It was a tough and emotional loss for the team and Hauser Nation, but there were many bright spots in their season. The team finished with a winning record of 12-11 and played several 3A and 4A schools.
Great season players and coaches! Many are already looking forward to an even bigger season in 2015-2016.
