Hauser Hoops: Lady Jets sweep Shelbyville

By By Mike [email protected]

If the BIG schools are supposed to defeat all the small schools, no one told the Hauser Lady Jets varsity and reserve teams Thursday night.

The Lady Golden Bears visited the Jet Port and left stunned while the Lady Jets celebrated to a standing ovation. It was definitely a happy ending as four Hauser Seniors played their last home game. Coach Brad Hamilton's varsity girls team finished the regular season with some momentum heading into next weeks IHSAA Sectional at Jac-Cen-Del. The first game in their Sectional, Hauser plays Waldron, with the winner advancing to Friday night.

Hauser finished the regular season 13-8.

Hauser's reserve girls also landed a big win over Shelbyville in the first game Thursday night. Hauser Alum Ruben Martinez in his first year as Reserve Coach helped lead the girls to a 12-5 season ending record. Congratulations to both high school girl teams. Goodluck Varsity Girls in the Sectional!
